Family and Friends

Sarie Kessler (Mother) – Sarie is a Physiotherapist, who takes care of the lower limb biomechancs/orthotics side of things as well as having a special interest in exercise physiology. Sarie has 30 years experience within the proffession. She raised Margot and her siblings all by herself, and have always been very close with her daughter. As a birthday present to her mother, Margot paid off the entire mortgage of her $490,000 home in Southport on the Gold Coast of Australia. The gift was to celebrate Sarie’s 60th. Kessler said it made her birthday the ‘best one ever.’ She added: ‘It was an amazing thing (that Margot did) but I don’t want to say anything more about it. I’m just so proud – we all are. It was definitely the best birthday ever”. Margot has always said that she’s been blessed with the opportunity to help improve the life’s of the people around her, and her mother (who is “the sweetest person on earth” according to Margot herself) is one of the most important ones to her.

Lachlan “Lockie” Robbie (Brother) – Lachlan, or more commonly known as Lockie, is Margot’s older brother. Like his sister, he is in the entertainment buisness; but as a stuntman. His credits include Alien Covenant (2016), The Racka Racka (2016), Home and Away (2016) and Doctor Doctor (2016). His special skills resume lists the following: Abseiling/Repelling, Boat Driver, Fire Burns, Jet Skier – (Stand up), Martial Arts (Weapons), Precision Driver (Car), Rock Climbing, Scuba Diver, Snowboarding.

Cameron Robbie (Brother) – Cameron is Margot’s younger brother. He wants to follow in his sister’s footsteps, and are trying out as an actor. He appeared in Margot’s 2009 film “I.C.U”, and has been in two short films; Gifted (2015) and People You May Know (2016). ‘My sister and I liked to perform all the time, (including) skits at home. When she started succeeding, I realised you can do this as a job.’ Cameron told Gold Coast Bulletin. ‘She is such a grounded, supportive and intelligent girl. There’s such a business side to this world … and she’s helping with (that).’ He hopes to become as successful as his older sister, but before taking on Hollywood, he says he might work on his acting skills in Melbourne (like his sister did!). Margot and Cameron are very close, and have often explored the world together. In 2014, they spent the summer traveling through Croatia, Greece, Italy, Portugal and France, where Margot celebrated her 23rd birthday atop the Eiffel Tower.

Anya Robbia (Sister) – Information is N/A.

Tom Ackerley (Boyfriend) – Margot met Tom Ackerley when they were both working on the set of Suite Française in 2013, a World War Two flick filmed in Belgium – Margs in front of the camera and Tom behind it. They stayed friends in the years following – Margot has later admitted she was harbouring an affection for Tom. They got together in 2014. They lived together in Clapham, sharing with two other friends with whom they are also business partners, before getting their own place in Shepherd’s Bush. Surrey native Ackerley went to state Godalming College. The Sixth Form only school four miles out from Guildford has a reputation as being the destination for the more party-minded alumni from a plethora of nearby private schools. Other students include Lucy Watson, Isabel Hardman and Rufus Hound.

The son of an estate agent, Tom opted for the stereotypical and, after coupling up with Margot, moved into their Clapham flat share. They were regularly spotted on the Common, in the local Saino’s and even in the Maccy’s after nights out. A low key and fairly normal, by Hollywood’s standards, upbringing belies a distinguished body of work to which Ackerley can lay claim. Admittedly, no blockbusters à la Wolf of Wall Street, but impressive nonetheless. An assistant director, he worked on Rush, Pride, Macbeth and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Outside of his impressive career Tom enjoys riding bikes, both push and motorised, and travelling with work. That’s all I could get from his Instagram. (Source)
